ExpoCadena 2022 breaks attendance record

More than 3500 visitors, including almost all members of Cadena88, national and international manufacturers and other visitors came to this year’s EHLIS A.G. in-house exhibition, ExpoCadena, in Sevilla la Nueva at the end of September. EDE International and Delcredit España, the joint venture of EDE International AG and CECOFERSA, were guests for the first time.

The venue was the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Sevilla or FIBES. The trade fair days began with an EHLIS Members’ Congress in the bullring of Seville. Despite heavy rain, Alejandro Ehlis, Managing Director at EHLIS, was not deterred and made it clear in his speech – against the background of the new cooperation relationship between E/D/E, CECOFERSA and EHLIS – that the partners will continue to act independently of each other. In addition, they will use the strengths of each company to leverage synergy effects for the members and jointly strengthen their future viability in the current difficult market situation. “With the purchase of the majority shares of CECOFERSA, EHLIS wants to improve the industrial positioning of the group and, with the new partner EDE International AG, particularly exploit the joint potential of both groups”, says Alejandro Ehlis.

The following days of ExpoCadena 2022 broke a new attendance record: the total of three exhibition halls at the 216,000 square metre exhibition centre in Seville were fully booked with a total of 297 suppliers. The next edition of ExpoCadena will be held in Bilbao from 23 to 25 February 2023.
